The Eternal Silence
Imagine, running into fear itself. Try as one might to escape, one is bound by the nightmare that has gripped the heart since childhood. One is always trapped by the imminent threat. You know you are screaming, but you can’t hear your own voice. You begin violently sobbing harder than you have ever cried before, knowing that you are upon death’s very door, but your cries fall on deaf ears. As death’s talons stretch out to rip your soul from its hollow shell, the world fades away into darkness.
There’s a dark deserted corridor only lit by the hundred candles that trail the walls ‘til the end. From what little light that eliminated your vision, the hall was in a declining condition.
